The Truth about Planet X Part II Roaring waves, Divers earthquakes, and Other Signs
The resulting tsunami devastated the shores of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South India, Thailand and other countries with waves up to 100 feet high. It caused serious damage and deaths as far as the east coast of Africa, with the furthest recorded death due to the tsunami occurring at Port Elizabeth in South Africa, 5 000 miles away from the epicenter
More than 310,000 people are thought to have died as a result of the tsunami, and the count is not yet complete. In Indonesia in particular, 500 bodies a day were still being found in February 2005 and the count was expected to continue past June.
The outpouring of pledges of donations and aid to victims is said to amount to nearly 2 billion dollars in response to emotional appeals from humanitarian aid agencies to every sector of society.
Many survival food vendors stepped up their operations in anticipation of increased demand, and at least one self proclaimed "prophet of God" with a history of false predictions elatedly claimed that the Great Tribulation had at last begun, and began selling large amounts of "survival product" to naive, fearful, unwary believers.
"The serious Earth changes (associated with "Planet X") are beginning" some say, and many Planet X peddlers are claiming vindication because of the December 26th event.
Some maintain that there has never been an event of such magnitude in earth's recorded history causing the type of death and destruction seen in this most recent catastrophe, and this they say proves that Planet X is not only real, but is also about to changes our lives and the structure of the world forever.
The December 26, 2004 Tsunami: The Real Story
Throughout recorded history tsunamis have occurred that have significantly impacted coastal communities. According to the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia, a tsunami is a natural phenomenon consisting of a series of waves generated when water in a lake or the sea is rapidly displaced on a massive scale. Earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions and large meteorite impacts all have the potential to generate a tsunami. The effects of a tsunami can range from unnoticeable to devastation. The term tsunami comes from the Japanese language meaning harbour ("tsu"/津) and wave ("nami"/波/浪). The term was created by fishermen who returned to port to find the area surrounding the harbor devastated, although they had not been aware of any wave in the open water. Although many result from undersea earthquakes, a tsunami is not a sub-surface event in the deep ocean; it simply has a much smaller amplitude (wave heights) offshore, and a very long wavelength (often hundreds of kilometers long), which is why they generally pass unnoticed at sea, forming only a passing "hump" in the ocean. Tsunamis were historically referred to as tidal waves because as they approach land they take on the characteristics of a violent onrushing tide rather than the sort of cresting waves that are formed by wind action upon the ocean. Although the December 26, 2004 Tsunami is said to be the deadliest on record, the largest tsunami recorded in modern times occurred on July 9, 1958. That tsunami in Lituya Bay, Alaska, was caused by a landslide triggered by an 8.3 magnitude earthquake. Waves reached a height of 1,720 feet in the bay, but because the area is relatively isolated and in a unique geologic setting the tsunami did not cause much damage elsewhere. It sank a single boat, killing two fishermen. Clearly, Planet X was not a factor in that incident. If we examine the record for deadly earthquakes, we must look almost 500 years into the past. The deadliest earthquake known took place in Shansi, China, on January 23, 1556. This magnitude 8 earthquake killed an estimated 830,000. Clearly, Planet X was not a factor in that event either. So if Planet X is not the culprit, how do we explain the increase of earthquake/tsunami activity over the course of the last 500 years? Certainly, there has been a steady increase of upheavals and catastrophes on planet earth. After all, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), 2004 was the deadliest year for earthquakes since the Renaissance Age, making it the second most fatal in recorded history, with more than 275,950 deaths reported from the magnitude 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit the Indian Ocean on Dec. 26. The total death toll for earthquakes in 2004 was 276,856; less than 1,000 casualties were reported around the world prior to the Indian Ocean event. How do we explain these in the absence of Planet X? The answer is found in the Bible. The Son of God explained these phenomena in no uncertain terms, and associated them not with the coming of a rogue planet, but with his own return to planet Earth. When asked about the sign of his second coming, Christ said (among other things):
Notice that he did not tells us of unknown planets.
Although the words "divers places" in the preceding verse seem to speak of many places, it is interesting to note that tsunamis occur in places that only "divers" can visit. Some may exclaim that Planet X would be a "fearful sight" and a "great sign" from heaven as described in Luke 21:11, and after all, that would be (and is for some today) a source of fear for many wouldn't it? It might be except for the fact that Jesus also told us what would precede these events in the next verse.
Some may claim that the events spoken of in Luke 21:12 have already taken place in some parts of the world (there has ALWAYS been persecution of God's saints) but to my knowledge, none have been delivered up to the synagogues or brought before kings and rulers. Some of us have already been "brought before magistrates" to silence our testimony, but the other portions of that scripture have not yet been completely fulfilled.
The cataclysmic signs and heavenly events described in the Bible seem to point to the wrath of God poured out in anger against the world in response to the persecution and martyrdom of the saints of God. What about Luke 21:25? Wouldn't Planet X be a "sign" in the stars? Well it might be if it were real, but since the source of the Planet X legend is the occult and not the Bible, we must be careful not to be seduced to legitimize New Age teachings by wrapping them in scripture. Keep in mind that every pseudo-Christian group has twisted the Bible to suit their heretical teachings for more than a thousand years. Each group claims to have a new and special knowledge which supports their doctrine, which can only be gained by accepting their Biblical interpretation.
He believed that he alone had a proper calculation of the generations mentioned in the Old Testament, which according to Miller showed that Bishop Ussher, who had announced that the world had been created in 4004 BC, had in fact underestimated the age of the world by a good 150 years. Thus, the six-thousandth year of the world would occur in the first half of the 19th century. Then would begin the "Seventh Day of Creation," a concept long associated with the Millennium. We who live more than 150 years in the future know that this was a false prophecy (or a "failed prophecy" some would say), but many people fell for it and some had their faith shaken in what has now become known as "The Great Disappointment". That religious movement still continues under the name "Seventh Day Adventism". From the late 19th century,
Charles Taze Russell
began a movement which has become known as the Jehovah's
Witnesses, and began teaching that "the
Gentile Times would end in the fall of 1914", with more than an
implication that Many people gave Russell money in fear. Of course Christ did not return in that year (although "Russell's Remnant" continues to assert that Christ did return in that year invisibly), but he soon found another product to peddle to his gullible flock. Two years later, "Pastor Russell's" Watch Tower publication advertised wheat seed for sale at $1.00 a pound (quite expensive in that day). It was named `Miracle Wheat,' and it was asserted that it would grow five times as much as any other brand of wheat. There were other claims made for the wheat seed, and the followers were advised to purchase it, with the proceeds going to the Watch Tower Society and be used in publishing the `Pastor's' sermons. A great deal of money was made on this product, and Russell became wealthy. Although some have claimed that the profits from its sales went to the Watchtower Society and not Russell himself, Russell owned 990 of the 1,000 shares of Watchtower Society stock. By this figure, 99% of every "contribution" for "Miracle Wheat" was in effect a contribution to Russell himself. Financial statements proving Russell's absolute control, were made by (Watch Tower) Secretary-Treasurer Van Amberg who was quoted as saying, "...We are not responsible to anyone for our expenditures. We are responsible only to God," Government experts testified about "Miracle Wheat" and ascertained beyond doubt that it was not "miraculous or overly excellent". The Brooklyn Eagle said about Russell: "Pastor' Russell's religious cult is nothing more than a money-making scheme," "The Eagle was sued for libel and won. If today's US Postal regulations against false advertising and mail fraud had been in effect at the time, perhaps Russell would have lost more than a libel case. As we continue to assert, false prophecy (and all its related products) are "all about the money"! Russell's connections with Freemasonry and occult doctrines are most evident in his devotion to a Planet X New Age cousin; namely the pyramids. Charles Taze Russell is also related to William Huntington Russell whose Russell Trust formed and controls the Yale secret society known as the Skull and Bones Society to which our current president George W Bush belongs. Russell's pseudo-Christian group has made similar predictions of Christ's return for the years 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994. As far as I can determine, none of these events have occurred. Can you say "mind control"? Not to be outdone, on February 14, 1835, Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church, attended a meeting of church leaders. He said that the meeting had been called because God had commanded it. He announced that Jesus would return within 56 years, that is to say before February 15,1891. All these groups were confident that the Bible supported their claims just as the peddlers of Planet X do today. You can read of even more such occurrences by reading Bonehead Predictions in Christian History. And while we are on the subject, others have made similar planetary predictions which could be said to be "signs in the heavens".
The following day, news reports from various parts of the world omitted any mention of an exploding sun. Now it may have been one huge cover up, but almost 90 years later it seems safe to say that the sun did not explode. We have also learned to make a deal with meteorologists; we let them predict the weather and they agreed to leave such postulation to astronomers.
They DID sell a lot of books though... So what about signs in the heavens then? The Bible describes some of them in detail:
These are all signs in the stars and heavens. They do not foretell the coming of Planet X, but instead the one we are told to look for as these signs appear.
His name is YAHUSHUA.
Jesus Christ, the true and Living Son of God.
