James Lloyd hires "Private Eye" to intimidate Christian Ministry

James Moves Closer to "The Beast"

On Wednesday, August 11, 2004, CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK owners JAMES LLOYD, and SUSAN LENOX sent an "Investigator" (A "PRIVATE EYE") to the home of Beacon of Truth broadcaster Craig Portwood, in what appears to be an attempt to intimidate him.

The unannounced visit was timed to coincide with the Beacon of Truth broadcast which is broadcast live each Wednesday at 2:00pm PDT. This tactic appears to be yet another attempt to harass Craig, against whom JAMES LLOYD and SUSAN LENOX doing business as "CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK",  have filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of the state of Oregon, for Jackson County.

The investigator from "EYE TO EYE INVESTIGATIONS INCORPORATED" (note the embedded "6" on the business card below), asked questions related to Craig's defense against JAMES LLOYD and CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK. Aside from the URL of the website from which Mr. LLOYD continues his slander of Craig, no information was given.

It is curious that Mr. LLOYD would incur the added expense of a Corporate Private Investigator in addition to fees paid to Junior Partner JASON BROUHARD, of the Corporate law firm of BROWN, HUGHES, ROTE, WHITMORE,& BROUHARD, LLP, but as Mr. LLOYD has stated previously, his financial relationship with his listeners has allowed him to "juggle more than one lawsuit at a time".

Given not only the fact that not only many scriptures in the Holy Bible (which Mr. LLOYD claims to follow) speak against this, but Mr. LLOYD'S own teaching as well, that the Courts, Lawyers, and Judges are in Mr. LLOYD'S own words "...A bunch of CRIMINAL BASTARDS", one can only wonder what Mr. LLOYD'S supporters think of all this.

It is interesting to note that Mr. LLOYD has decided to investigate Craig at this time as he has already filed his lawsuit. Ordinarily one would do all investigation of fact before filing a lawsuit.  It could be supposed that Mr. Lloyd realizes that his case is weak and hopes to discover some information which suggests criminal or immoral behavior however, had Mr. LLOYD  been thinking clearly, he would have realized that this investigation should have been done before he began slandering Mr. Portwood and his associates and even only after finding data which might justify such a campaign.

Should a "Christian" help those whom their own spiritual leader calls "the ungodly"?

It is obvious that James Lloyd is becoming desperate as Craig has no criminal record, no restraining orders have been filed against him, and he has no drug habit! James wants so desperately to find dirt to sling that he will bankrupt himself to do it.

He would have been better off paying to have a well drilled for his wife Susan. At least they might have a little water to drink instead of the bitter gall they now enjoy.

Craig Portwood has his first court date coming soon, which is scheduled for August 23, 2004.

UPDATE August 13, 2004: I went to town today to pay the "Private Eye" a visit at the address printed on the business card. They are not there and I could not find them in the phone book.

UPDATE August 17, 2004:

All I found is a "mail drop" at a "Payday Loan" office (pictured below, left). You have heard of a business being nothing more than "a hole in the wall". That is all there to show for "EYE TO EYE INVESTIGATIONS INC."	Their "Suite" is the second box from the left, the fourth row down (pictured below, right).

We now know for certain that they DO have a business license. We checked with a woman who gave her name as Kathy at Medford City Hall , and she told us that "Eye to Eye Investigations INC." is licensed by the city of Medford, and owned by Tamara Ulrey, AKA Tamara Grant.

That would explain why  "Eye to Eye Investigations INC." has no business license with the city of Talent Oregon. We checked with Medford Police Officer Dot Roach (pictured behind the glass, below right) and she could find no record of criminal activity on the part of Tamara Ulrey or "Eye to Eye Investigations INC."

We contacted the Oregon Secretary of State, Corporation Division, who verified the fact that "Eye to Eye investigations INC." has indeed incorporated, but that they give their address as 220 Rapp Road, Talent Oregon. We decided to pay them a visit and found that there are 2 possible address. 220 EAST Rapp Road turned out to be a vacant lot. 220 WEST Rapp Road turned out to be the "Talent Parkside"  apartment complex (Owned by Charles J. Kenny and Darrell G. Hinnewinkle) , with MANY apartments having the same address. Perhaps the omission of the apartment number in their address is the result of an "oversight". Further investigation shows that "Eye to Eye investigations INC." is indeed on WEST Rapp Road.
We checked with the "Parkside Apartments" office, and they have no record of "Eye to Eye Investigations INC." operating out of their complex. We also checked with many neighbors who have not heard of them either.
We also know that their website is missing. Perhaps they should hire a "Private Eye" to find it. It seems as though we now know more about "Eye to Eye Investigations INC." than they know about us. Maybe Mr. Lloyd should have hired me instead!
