CHRISTIAN MEDIA would later publish the following canard:

This would indicate that CHRISTIAN MEDIA was hoping to ruin not only my reputation, but that they were jealous in their mistaken belief that Linda would become wealthy from her long expected divorce and that I might somehow benefit financially. Of course this preoccupation with MONEY is a main focus of CHRISTIAN MEDIA which blinds them to any truth, and facts would suggest that CHRISTIAN MEDIA had been concerned for some time that they were not getting what they believed to be their fair share of money from Linda.

I later asked Linda how she became tangled up with CHRISTIAN MEDIA in the first place and she explained it in a chronology.

Around 1997 or 1998, she started began listening to shortwave radio and was a regular listener of Steve Quayle on his old "Blueprint for Survival" broadcast and Pastor David Lankford on his "Voice of Evangelism" broadcast. She began to make regular donations of money to both of them and gave them both about $2,000.00 in purchases and donations over the course of 2 years.

In the spring of 2000, she followed them to CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK and began listening to James Lloyd on his "Apocalypse Chronicles" show also.

In January of 2001, both Pastor Lankford and Steve Quayle left CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK and after James Lloyd began accusing Pastor Lankford and Steve Quayle of gross sin (leaving the network was their primary "sin") which resulted in the prosecution of a personal vendetta against both men by CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK.

As a result Linda stopped making donations to Pastor Lankford and Steve Quayle and began donating money to and purchasing products from CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK.

In June of 2001, Linda became a regular caller to the CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK show called "The Stupid Friday Show" hosted by Francis Steffan and myself.

Around July 2001, Linda received a letter from CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK co-owner Susan Lenox which accused Linda of using inappropriate language during a call in on "The Stupid Friday Show" broadcast. If I recall correctly, the incident involved Linda's use of the word "succumb". It seems as though the corrupt minds of James Lloyd and Susan Lenox chose to believe that Linda was referring to a sexual act.

James Lloyd has a personal history of sexual perversion which has been documented by Susan in her June 5, 1990 restraining order, which she filed in the Jackson County Circuit Court after James Lloyd attacked Susan and destroyed her personal property while attempting to rape her in a violent, drunken rage and during which Susan was physically injured (according to the filing). 

Given their personal histories of sexual preoccupation, such a conclusion by either of them should come as no surprise to anyone.

Knowing that she had done no such thing and being deeply hurt by the accusation, Linda began to have serious doubts about the spiritual claims of CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK, and aside from a $100.00 cash donation she gave to James Lloyd in August 2001 at a "Prophecy" conference in Lansing Michigan, Linda stopped giving money to CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK altogether.

After much soul searching and prayer and knowing that I was in ill health, she began to make donations of essential oils and other products to me. She also also anonymously gave me about $200.00 and a one ounce gold coin. I would return the coin to her the following summer when she was in financial need.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, James and Susan seemed to be concerned with the cessation of financial support from Linda and in what may have been an effort to coax Linda back into the fold, CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK co-owner Susan Lenox called Linda on the telephone near the end of 2001 and asked Linda to co-host with Susan Lenox on Susan's "Sound Body " show. Linda agreed and was also asked to host the show by herself a month or two later.

Around January of 2002, I announced on the network that I would be producing a conference in Indiana at Clifty Falls State Park with several network hosts speaking on various subjects and which was scheduled for the Memorial Day weekend of 2002.

At about that time Linda called me after my 10:00 PM PST broadcast and offered to speak on the subject of home schooling of children and as the event producer, I booked her to speak at the conference.

We began speaking regularly on the telephone after the 10:00 PM broadcast at that time, and Linda told me that she had mentioned to Susan Lenox some months earlier that she was planning to relocate to Southern Oregon after her husband followed through on plans to divorce Linda. She also offered to rent me a room if she ever moved to Oregon.

I advised Linda not to be hasty and suggested that she should make efforts to keep her marriage intact. She related a series of abusive interactions between her husband and herself including one where her husband chocked her and began destroying items in their home.

She also told me that she had even sought a marriage councilor in the past without avail. I asked if they could reconcile for the sake of their children and was told that the issue which made the differences irreconcilable surrounded Linda's faith in Christ. She had made many attempts to reach her husband with the Gospel and even asked him several times if he would attend the conference in Indiana with her and the children but he refused.

I would later tell James Lloyd that I offered Linda my "council" (a biblical precept) to keep the marriage intact. James intentionally took my words out of context and reported in a smear piece CHRISTIAN MEDIA published about me that I had told him that I was "counseling the woman".

Of course none of the plotting against me from behind the scenes would become evident for months and I would share with my supposed brethren the truth of matters which hindsight shows would have been better kept quiet. I will reveal in context the events which transpired and which were taken out of context to attack me when it suited the conspirators.

I had met Linda for the first time on May 30th, 2002, the day before the conference began, at the Tapatio Mexican Restaurant in Madison Indiana. I would later be accused of meeting her in a "Motel" as the truth was not seamy enough to work to destroy my reputation nor Linda's. The two of us would also be accused of behaving improperly towards each other in the same restaurant by an unnamed accuser who had never even visited the restaurant. This false accusation was cavalierly published by CHRISTIAN MEDIA without corroboration as if it were fact.

It was a joy to meet Linda at last in person and we talked for a great while before ordering dinner. We were probably an annoyance to the restaurant employees who continued to ask if we were ready to order yet, but there was so much to talk about.

After dinner, Linda registered for the two rooms she had reserved at the hotel. She had originally planned to book three rooms at the hotel, one for herself and her children, one for me, and one for Ralph and Kathy Haaff.

The Haaff's refused Linda's kindness and stated that they would not be able to attend the conference. That proved to be another lie as they did attend the conference. Had the Haaff's accepted Linda's offer, their plot to attack me would have failed as they would have been first hand witnesses to the fact that there was nothing improper occurring at the hotel between Linda and myself. Later, clumsily justifying his refusal of Linda's kindness, Ralph Haaff characterized it as "a bribe".

I was told that Friday night by Rick Walters that the Haaff's wanted to keep their appearance quiet so that Ralph could "spy on" and "expose pretenders" at Clifty Falls State Park. It seems as though I was the target all along and Rick Walters "spilled the beans", not knowing that I was the "pretender" Ralph wanted to "expose".

Both rooms had two beds, and Linda's two children were to share a bed in her room. This arraignment made neither of them happy, and on the second night of the conference (Saturday) since I planned to stay out late at the Clifty Falls campground enjoying the company of some of the people who attended the conference ( I spent most of that night with John Walters and another fellow named "Chris", Linda put her son to sleep in the spare bed next to mine. Since the room were adjoining, it seemed to be a good idea. I returned to the hotel at about 3:30 in the morning and went to sleep.

I would later be accused by "Acts One Eight Watchman" Rick Walters, James Lloyd and Susan Lenox, by direct accusation and innuendo of the most vile acts of molestation in connection with my sharing a room that night with this innocent little boy.

The accusations carried an implied threat that if I did not stop exposing the lies of Rick Walters, Ralph Haaff and Kathy Haaff, that Linda's young son could share the fate of the three year old son of Scott and Leisa Rogers.

In that episode, a so called "Christian" organization called at the time "The Minirth Meier New Life Clinic" worked to destroy the lives of Scott and Leisa Rogers as well as the innocence of their son who was a toddler at the time.

The issue at that time (like the issue surrounding the threat against me and Linda's young son) was the issue of MONEY. James Lloyd would feign ignorance of it, but he clearly knows of the incident because he has published a "book" (like most of his "books" it is more of a pamphlet) titled "Christianized Psychology", and owned a video made by the Rogers family about the incident titled "A Family Betrayed".

The implied threat by Rick Walters against Linda Kristich's little boy was not rebuked nor reproved by the "leader" of this group as any decent human being should do, but was instead a source of mirth and  laughter for James Lloyd.

At the beginning of the video, Scott Rogers tells about listening to a Minirth Meier New Life radio program on his car radio. During the broadcast, Rogers stopped his car and called the Minirth Meier New Life Clinic because the program invited listeners to call in and because the remarks made on the program had precipitated some personal concerns. Specifically he relates, the statement was made on the program that those who are abused as children grow up to be abusers.

Rogers knew he had been abused as a child and, as a result of listening to the program, now wondered if that would turn him into an abuser. He called for information and prayer, but what followed was a nightmare for Rogers and his family.

In the video Rogers relates the details of the nightmare that began with that phone call. Rogers describes step by step from that one fateful phone call to allegations against him of child sexual abuse. During the phone call to the Clinic, Rogers expressed concern that had been prompted by the program, since he had suffered many severe beatings as a child. He told the woman from the Clinic that he did not ever want to do to his children what had been done to him. That was why he called.

The woman from the Minirth Meier New Life Clinic proceeded to ask him his name, phone number, address, and if he carried health insurance. After he told her the name of his insurance carrier, she insisted that he immediately check himself into a Minirth Meier New Life in-hospital treatment program. When he expressed concern about the cost ($1000 per day with a minimum stay of 14 days), she told him his insurance would pay.

He assured her that he had never abused his children, but when he resisted the idea of entering their in-hospital psychiatric treatment, she threatened to call the authorities and report him for child abuse.

Rogers resisted their threats and as a result, he was reported to a "Children's Protective" agency in his home state of Georgia by the clinic intake worker named Melodie. After his life was ruined for all intents and purposes, and his son's innocence was stolen from him forever, Rogers was finally exonerated. Not by the so called "Christian's" mind you but by the State of Georgia which acted more honorably that the professing believers.

After the accusation which was similar to that of the above mentioned "Christian" organization, was made by Rick Walters on the so called CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK, Linda Kristich protested in an email to James Lloyd and Susan Lenox  and James Lloyd mocked Linda's concern for her son and laughed about it on the Apocalypse Chronicles show, accusing her of "sniping" at him on the radio (although she had not complained about Walters callous remarks on the radio but privately).

Could any serious believer in Christ  not believe from this episode that James Lloyd is a monster who cares not about the truth nor about the wellbeing of the innocent, as long as there is a perceived benefit to him in any action of his network "representatives", and that Susan Lenox blindly supports this type of behavior in her tacit approval?

An attack on children, especially when it includes an implied threat to subject them to the authority of the State, is in direct opposition to the teachings of YASHUA. At CHRISTIAN MEDIA, much like the Organized Church, the authority of Christ is subordinated to the authority of the organization. This reliance on the authority of the State over the authority of YASHUA to get their way became even more apparent after James Lloyd and Susan Lenox filed a lawsuit against me and another a year later against Linda Kristich.

Their followers likewise condone such vile practices as accusing the innocent by their financial support. There is little doubt in my mind that the love of money is the root of all evil surrounding CHRISTIAN MEDIA.

YASHUA taught the direct opposite of what is practiced and condoned by CHRISTIAN MEDIA:

Matthew 18:6

To return to the narrative, after the first day of the conference, Linda once more spoke with me about her husband’s plans to divorce her, and at that time I told her that it was my opinion that she should yet more efforts to keep her marriage intact until he actually files for divorce, and confront him with his abusive behavior (Linda related that he had become regularly abusive of Linda before their children). I also told her at that time that I would be "honored" to marry her, should ever "God release" her from her wedding vows.

Of course this was a foolish thought and it was even more foolish to share it with those whom I thought to be my friends, as I would later be accused of "lusting after" Linda because of my statement. It was a clear act of "thoughtcrime" as H.G. Wells would write in his book of futuristic totalitarian madness,"1984".

Linda agreed to confront her husband on the condition that I would agree to follow her home after the conference, as a protection from any abusive behavior and of course, I agreed to do so.

The last day of the conference, I privately mentioned to CHRISTIAN MEDIA NETWORK "host" Rick Walters, that I hoped God would release Linda from her wedding vows, referred to her as my "future fiancé", and also gave her a kiss at that time.

Walters would later proclaim that he "rebuked" me for the announcement, however the truth is that he shook my hand at that time and asked Linda to take a photograph of both of us.

Linda later told me that the announcement was "inappropriate" and "premature" and reminded me that we "are still just friends", and I agreed and apologized to her.

This would later be reported to suit the agenda of CHRISTIAN MEDIA that Linda and I had both "jubilantly" announced an imminent marriage. That was of course far from the truth, but agenda always seems to outweigh truth at CHRISTIAN MEDIA. They would later file a lawsuit to prevent anyone from knowing the truth about what was to happen next.

This is the spirit of the world which has overcome most of what is called "Christianity". It is a spirit that seeks not the welfare of the brethren, but personal supremacy and personal glory at the expense of another. I have yet to find a group calling itself "Christian" which is not used by ambitious self serving individuals to place themselves into a position over others. If I was at fault, I should have been dealt with in the spirit which is restorative and not accusatory. The teachings of the Bible bear this out.

We are told by Paul in Galatians 6:1

There is no "spirit of meekness" evident at all in anyone involved with CHRISTIAN MEDIA, and there is no motivation to restore anyone. There is however a great motivation to lord over the flock and to profit from manipulation of any event. Consider another Biblical teaching which is deadly to the believer outside of the practice of true Christianity:

James 5:16

To "confess your faults" in the context of the religious practice of CHRISTIAN MEDIA is to subject yourself to accusations should you ever be seen as in disagreement with the organization. This is not characteristic of the practice of the teachings of YASHUA , but instead is a hallmark of a cult. Control of the individual cognitively, behaviorally, and financially through any means possible is the common practice in such groups.

What have we seen as a practice at CHRISTIAN MEDIA then? It is accusatory, manipulative, and petty. Consider the following Bible verse:

Revelation 12:10

And who exactly is the "accuser of our brethren"? The preceding verse places everything into context:

Revelation 12:9

This is just one reason why the believer must be on guard and examine the claims of would be Christian "Leaders" critically. If the spirit in them is not humble, meek, and gentle, it is not of the God who gave His Son as a sacrifice for men's sins, and it will only lead you to Hell if you follow it.

The Bible puts it another way:

1 Thessalonians 5:21

To resume our chronology, the conference ended that Sunday and oblivious to the conspiracy being hatched by Ralph and Kathy Haaff, I followed Linda to her home in Michigan as I was asked and was introduced to her husband. Of course, this fact was conveniently forgotten by James Lloyd as it does not reflect the actions of a man who is stealing another man's wife, as I have been accused by CHRISTIAN MEDIA.

Linda told her husband that he had to stop berating her in front of their children, and that as long as they were married he should not treat her with open  disrespect. He responded that if she didn't like how he treated he that she should "get out of the house" and "sue" for divorce.

Linda broke down in tears and plead that all she wanted was to provide a healthy environment for their children but her husband would have no part of it. Linda was devastated.

Knowing that Linda had no money or any other means of support, I asked her if she had any camping gear. If so I told her that she could stay at my campsite at a place called Lakeport (pictured to the left. No, that's not my trailer). She agreed and brought enough camping gear to accommodate herself and her children. I also returned the gold coin she had given me months before.

The campground was overcrowded but Linda appreciated having any place for her children and herself to stay and did not complain. The children enjoyed swimming at nearby Lake Huron. Camping became more expensive during the weekends (when we were forced to move to make room for weekenders with reservations) and we had to visit more expensive campgrounds like the "KOA Kampground" (pictured to the right, not my tent either!) nearby. Linda and her children got a "cabin" and I stayed in my tent.

After borrowing some money from her family, Linda honored her husband's demand and found a divorce lawyer.

Apparently her husband was informed by his lawyer that he had chosen badly in throwing his wife and children into the street, and he sought a Court Order demanding the return of Linda and the children. Linda did as she was ordered and continued to live in the marital home as ordered until after her divorce was finalized in May of 2003. CHRISTIAN MEDIA in an effort to foster the lie that Linda and I were engaged in a sexual union would later propagate the lie that I would be "visited in the evenings" by Linda.

This was just another lie in a great cavalcade of falsehoods intended to vilify me, and to prevent any of CHRISTIAN MEDIA's  "customers" (whom it would seem James Lloyd believes himself to own) from financially supporting the Beacon of Truth broadcast, which I had resumed in July of 2002.

James Lloyd, perhaps because from pressure from Ralph and Kathy Haaff who were the original force behind the campaign of slanderous gossip that was being prosecuted behind my back, had that June told me that he was concerned about an appearance of impropriety surrounding me and Linda, and was afraid to have me do anymore broadcasts on CHRISTIAN MEDIA until it died down. He did however, expect me to return to Oregon to continue to operate the studio, or at least he allowed me to have that impression for another month of so.

I moved to Algonac State Park and prepared to return to Oregon and called James Lloyd to let him know I was returning soon, only to be told that I was "no longer needed" at the CHRISTIAN MEDIA compound. I was content to accept this and see where YAHWEH would lead me next. My absence from CHRISTIAN MEDIA had allowed my health to improve and the "root of bitterness" which surrounds all associated with the network was beginning to leave me, and I sensed that the change would bring a blessing.

I was being renewed spiritually and began to trust YAHWEH in a way I had not done for years.

As a counter balance, the plot against me was thickening slowly and I would not be fully aware of the malicious manipulations which were at that time going on behind the scenes for another month or two. They would become all too apparent by October of that year.

There is more to tell about what happened next, but it must be held for the next chapter which should (YAHWEH  willing) be published soon.
