Chapter 29

SPECIAL OPS II: skandalizo

In the header above, you will see various devices used during the Inquisition to extract confessions from accused heretics, and defend the faith from "Enemies of the Church". Even now, it is assumed by Organized Christianity, that God is impotent and not able to keep his promises without "a little help from the flesh".

Most believing Christians believe that God will not allow them to sin, though they probably do not articulate the thought. They will simply say in their hearts, "If it is God's will that this not happen, He will prevent it..."  So whatever evil they do, they simply assume that because they had the desire to do so, and because no one external to themselves stopped them, it must be God's will. By this operation of the human thought process, mankind has historically justified: Torture, murder, rape, mayhem, lies, deceit, hatred, envy, theft, and this list goes on and on.

And in each instance of brutality and conspiracy used during the Inquisitions (there were more than one), SCANDALOUS accusations were leveled at the accused, and they were at once instructed to admit ALL allegations, or be subjected to torture. This was also the pattern of practice during the various Witch Trials.  Zealous individuals, having an agenda and much to gain in their malicious persecution of the innocent, casting accusations without a shred of proof, have done much to damage the cause of Christ throughout history.

The "evidence"  offered by James Lloyd to prove that I "went bad", and the campaign against me which followed, make the Salem Witch Trials seem righteous be comparison.

Consider the core of the Lloyd story: According to him, I just went bad like a stale piece of fruit.

Distilled down to it's essence, the "logic" is that, being a drug addict, I feigned being a Christian to meet a wealthy married woman. I then found one, gained influence over her, wrecked her marriage and caused her to file for divorce.

I then "threw myself at her" at the conference (or Linda was throwing herself at me if you prefer that version), without shame. I then attacked James Lloyd and his "Saints" out of the blue, and began causing dissention. Mind you, this is only one of Lloyd's "scenarios" (angles), but it seems to follow the main theme.

The truth is that Lloyd believed that my usefulness to him was nearing an end.

It is interesting that Lloyd has NO FRIENDS  which are of no use to him. Every one of them (including and especially Susan) has a utility (a use).  He has NO ASSOCIATES which do not bear some benefit for James Lloyd.

James Lloyd is a USER. He uses people for his own ends, and casts them off when that use is at an end.

There are only 3 requirements to be Lloyd's friend:

1.Have a talent or recognized value;

2.Be willing to allow that talent or recognized value to be exploited by Lloyd, and for the benefit of Lloyd, either for free, or for next to nothing.

3.Either have a genuine interest or a willingness to feign interest in Lloyd's Doctrine.

The best way to become his friend of course is to give him money.

By this, I do not mean to imply that James Lloyd is for sale. He is not. He is only for rent. Only a continual stream of income from you will keep you on the Christian Media®" friends" list.

The idea that I am so stupid as to brazenly cavort with a married woman, in the presence of 35 other believers at Clifty Falls State Park should "smell funny" to anyone with a nose for the truth. There is also the allegation that I was not only smoking Marijuana, BUT forced Susan Lenox to smoke it also!

Susan Lenox DOES INDEED HAVE A WEAKNESS FOR MARIJUANA, and had offered it to me one more than one occasion. She also offered me LSD (which according to Susan, was left there by Lloyd's sister April). Of course, I refused. The idea that I would do such a thing, and that James would keep me working there AND allow me to broadcast on his network for 9 MONTHS could only be believed by the most stupid individual.

In fact, the idea that someone could become "stoned" and then talk on the radio, much less about Jesus Christ should be too incredible for even the dullest intellect to believe, but I have discovered that, when people who are motivated by pride and avarice to attack you, no lie is too desperate, nor is the most absurd accusation out of the question.

Inasmuch as most "Christians" today consider that standard of operation to be "business as usual", the events I describe may not raise an eyebrow. God's word however, condemns "business as usual" as a practice for His people.

And while they "fellowship", they make "smiley face" at each other and then, rip each other behind their backs. Passing gossip and rumor. They hatch secretive plots against their "brethren". This they do using the Scriptures as their justification. And the unsuspecting sheep, earnest and sincere in knowing God's ways are torn apart in the carnage. People such as Ralph and Kathy Haaff, Rick Walters, and James Lloyd, who zealously go the "extra mile" in carrying forth their evil deeds, surpass the definition of sin. And in perusing it, they profane the Name of the Living God.

It is one thing to stumble or fall because of a single poor choice or weakness. An error in judgment which leads one for a time away from God is a part of man's natural condition, which God would have us learn from.

This is sin.

Wickedness on the other hand is another thing altogether. Wickedness takes aforethought and calculation. There is a certain amount of planning involved. If as Jesus says, to look upon a woman with lust is sin, to place a Five Dollar bill on the ground while waiting for her to come by to bend over to pick it up so you might lust after her, is Wicked.

The malice and plotting which took place against me with the blessing of James Lloyd were an example of raw, purposeful wickedness.

Lets summarize what has happened thus far:

• In the last few chapters, we learned that I had told James Lloyd that I was quitting my post as moderator on the popular "Christian Media Round Table" broadcast, because of the difficulties of "moderating" the unmanageable Ralph Haaff. This certainly made him question my "durable loyalty" to him and to the network.

•  I also told him that my health was deteriorating to the point where I believed that I would die without some time off to mend and recuperate. I certain he began to believe that my usefulness to him was nearing an end.

• I told him  and that I could no longer work 18 hour days for him, nor weekends, and that he wasn't happy about that either.

• I told him I would be taking 6 weeks off, and that when I returned I would be renting a room in town, and not living on his property as an "on-site manager" of the network.

•  

• In addition, I told him that I would be renting a room from Linda, after her expected move to Oregon. It is interesting to note that, while he told me at the time that he feared that Steve Quayle would blow the situation out of proportion and use it as a source for slanderous accusations, and would accuse me of breaking up her marriage, it was not Mr. Quayle, but JAMES LLOYD HIMSELF THAT DID THESE THINGS (AND MORE)!

•  

• We also learned that Ralph and Kathy Haaff were sent to the conference by James Lloyd, and told to "watch me" (read: SPY ON ME). This much Lloyd now admits in his attack piece against me. What he refuses to admit, is that HE started the snowball of gossip, which once rolling, laid the ground work for the Haaff's Folly. And so, rather than admit to his wrongdoing, he began to manufacture accusations against me.

The Bible gives us a picture of things to come for God's people in these end days .

 Matthew  24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved".

The word which has been translated "offended" in Matthew 24:10 of the King James Version, is the Greek word skandalizo (Strong's 4624). This is" the word from which we get our modern word "SCANDAL". In view of how I was treated to SCANDALOUS accusations, lies, slander, and deception by those associated with Christian Media Network®, it seems prophetically apropos.

It comes from the Greek word skandalon (Strong's 4625)

1) the movable stick or trigger of a trap, a trap stick

a) a trap, snare

b) any impediment placed in the way and causing one to stumble or fall, (a stumbling block, occasion of stumbling) i.e. a rock which is a cause of stumbling

The word skandalizo (Strong's 4624) means:

1) to put a stumbling block or impediment in the way, upon which another may trip and fall, metaph. to offend

a) to entice to sin

b) to cause a person to begin to distrust and desert one whom he ought to trust and obey

1) to cause to fall away

This scandalizing behavior described, is tailor made to suit Ralph and Kathy Haaff.

The Haaff's have worked with vigor, to place stumbling blocks in the way God's people, and their obliviousness towards their own transparent machinations, may work to cause some to fall away. Through the many months that followed, I was "enticed to sin" many times by Ralph Haaff and James Lloyd. Ralph challenged me to "get into the flesh" with him. James Lloyd in his impotent way, has consistently tried to goad me into sin by threatening, slandering, and calling me childish names on the radio. This he does while claiming to imitate Jesus Christ.

Why did all this strife have to be?  PRIDE

Ralph Haaff, had for some time been seeking an opportunity to contend with me (as I later discovered!) because I had hurt his pride on more than one occasion. It seems as though Steve Quayle (with whom Lloyd was quarrelling at the time) had made a statement on his "Q Files" program, telling his listeners to hide the word of God in their hearts.

Live on air, Ralph on his OP's Show, denounced this statement from Mr. Quayle as blasphemous. Lloyd was unconcerned about the accuracy of statements his "hosts" used in denouncing Steve Quayle, as long as it was being said about Steve Quayle.

Mr. Quayle was of course, simply re-iterating the scripture found in Psalms 119:11:

Hoping to avoid embarrassment for both Christian Media Network®, and the Haaff's, I interjected gently that this was indeed scripture. Ralph feigned a "Thank you", but Ralph, being motivated by pride, could only take this as an insult. Pride is a common denominator amongst would be Prophets of God. They are so concerned about "being right", that they show no concern with "doing right".

This is the dilemma for God's people. If I had simply not cared about the Network, and not worked to protect James Lloyd's name, and that of Christian Media®, I would have been going contrary to scripture:

Colossians 3:22-23

Had I been simply a self serving individual, just going through the motions (eyeservice) and maintaining the status quo, I would have not said a word about it. I would never have worked so hard to keep the network on the air, and probably would have engendered no malice from the Haaff's (being a manpleaser).  But these are the types of situations in which you will find yourself when you seek to do God's will in your life. People will try and urinate on you. Not strangers, but "Christians".

There was another interaction with Ralph, which unbeknownst to me until months later, left him seething. I had related a message from Christian Media Network® owner James Lloyd, that Ralph was not to mention Steve Quayle on air that day. Ralph did share his anger with me later that summer, stating that he "Paid for" that time, and he could say "anything" he wanted to. I spared Ralph the embarrassment of telling him that James Lloyd had already told me that James was sponsoring the show, and that Ralph and Kathy Haaff were not paying at all, but were being "comped" the air time.

Ops was given the time slot as "an accommodation" as reward for Ralph and Kathy's service to James, and as operatives whose services he could employ, then disavow when their tactics became undeniable. This was the pattern of harassment against Steve Quayle as well: Lloyd used the Haaff's to blackmail and threaten Quayle, and once the truth had been made known about their tactics in that affair, Lloyd simply denied knowledge of their actions. How convenient.

There was also the "Clay Douglas Incident", in which Ralph invited Shortwave radio host Clay Douglas to be a "guest" on "The OPS Show", and then tried to lynch him on air. This was make Ralph look "tough" in the eyes of his listeners. I was embarrassed by the display, and shared that with Ralph after the broadcast. Ralph became belligerent and verbally combative with me. "Clay is leading people to Hell..." Ralph maintained, "...and it's MY JOB to expose him..."

Now I know that Clay is a "big boy", and can handle himself, but I felt so badly about the way Ralph treated him, that I decided to ask Clay to be a guest on the Beacon of Truth broadcast. I asked James what he thought of the plan and he agreed that it would be a good gesture of good will towards Clay. The broadcast took place, and I allowed Clay to make the points that Ralph's lack of proper upbringing and rudeness prevented. I enjoyed the broadcast, but in Haaff's sight, this was a case of me being disloyal to the "cause".

He announced live on CMN, that Clay was "going to Hell", and yet, I invited the condemned man to speak on the same network.

Let me say this now: Ralph Haaff is an unintelligent boob. He has shown poor judgment in all his dealings with other people, and if he doesn't like me saying it...it is simply too bad. The man is a buffoon. If he didn't like the way I ran the network, he could have gotten off of his lazy fat bottom and offered to help Lloyd. Of course, that would never happen. Ralph Haaff has no manners, no apparent upbringing, and nothing to show of any education he might have received in the past. I tried to handle him with "kid gloves" so as not to offend his delicate self image, but he continued to harbor animosity towards me.

As much as this angered Ralph, "The Straw Which Broke the Camel's Back" so to speak, was placed only one month before the Second Clifty Falls Conference.

This incident (described in Chapter 10 )took place on the Christian Media "Roundtable" broadcast which aired live on Tuesday April 30th, 2002. Ralph began attacking Christian Media Network supporters on the air, and I had at that point had enough of it. I had in the past defended both Haaff and Walters in the past for doing this on air, and had even taken part on occasion. This display however, was so distasteful, that I had decided that Lloyd, Haaff, and Walters could all continue in their ways if they liked, but I wanted no more part of it.

When I informed James Lloyd of the incident, Susan asked "...Gee, I wonder what's up with Ralph...". I gave my impression that Ralph was "burned out" and was pushing too hard to make up the difference. James agreed and placed the Haaff's show on temporary hiatus until Ralph could "recuperate" . Not being able to take responsibility for his own mess, Ralph of course blamed me.

I'm sure Ralph just figured he was just doing God's "dirty work".

Never mind the fact that Jesus neither taught, nor practiced deception; Ralph had a special purpose which transcended scriptural authority. Such "logic" worked for the Jesuits, and Ralph could justify it, just as when asked about earlier admitted instances of lying.

This is the same thing that happened in the Salem Witch trials. This is the same attitude which was justified during the Inquisition. The Bible only means whatever they want it to mean at the time. Lying, coercion, threats, and duress are all justifiable actions when fighting those who have been declared to be in League with the Devil.

When asked for instance about his lying to Chris Blodgett and others to gain information (which he tape recorded) Ralph had said on more than one occasion, that it was justified, and that "You can't play fair with the Devil".  Why not use deception? Telling a lie to get to the truth is the Christian Media Modus Operandi. This cultic self justifying mindset, is nourished at Christian Media Network®.

James Lloyd is on record as defending the lies, the deceit, and the "Hidden Things of Dishonesty" which both Ralph and Kathy Haaff practice.

To deceive while claiming one has authority of the Holy Spirit, places a stumbling block before those to whom they present themselves as examples of "Good Christian Practice", and can only lead to a curse, and not a blessing from the Lord.

At the time of course,  I was unaware of that which was transpiring behind the scenes, and spent that weekend enjoying the company of others who were of a similar mind. It was a blessing to be able to ask questions of the like minded, about scriptural questions with which I had wrestled with personally.

There was the communion service which was a special blessing. I remember that as we all sat in the shelter, after the communion was finished, that there was a "deep quiet", a strong presence of what I believe to be the Holy Spirit. It was so strong, that even the children (who had been playing nearby) were quiet and content. I mentioned this at the time, and Rick Walters said he could at that moment feel the Holy Spirit come over him.

Months later, after another "gathering" held after Walters had denounced me publicly, he stated on the radio that there was "a different spirit" at his conference which excluded all "pretenders". This description was as we have noted, their code word for me.

That evening, there was what I could only call a party of fellowship. I enjoyed it. Kirke did a live remote. Although James Lloyd (who was more than 2,500 miles away at the time) and the 2 others who have an agenda in lying about it, have reported that I was cavorting with Linda in a shameful fashion, with the exception of 7 people, I have not heard from the 30 other people who attended that night, and indeed Kirke Wise, if he will admit to the truth of the matter on record, cannot give any examples of such behavior on the part of anyone who was there. 

Indeed, I spent the majority of the evening with Lee Devore of Georgia, and John Walters of Kansas, whom I also spoke with, well into the wee hours of the night at the campground. Both men have shown me that they are gutless cowards, for allowing the attacks against me and others to take place, refusing to tell what they saw.

I am certain that they will refuse to give an account until they stand in the presence of Christ on Judgment Day.

I was later accused by Rick Walters, of "Jumping Linda's bones" that evening because I did not arrive at the gathering at Crystal Beach Park until noon the following day. So what. I sleep as late as I please when on vacation. I do not have to justify myself before anyone, and if I did, I would certainly not begin with the likes of Rick Walters. Let him work 18 hour days for months on end without a break, and see how late HE sleeps on vacation!

To continue, that Saturday night, we stayed at the shelter until evening, enjoying fellowship and the company of other believers. This continued through Kirke Wise's live remote broadcast. Eventually, people began to depart for their tents/trailers/RV's/rooms/homes, or other places of shelter.

I went to the campground there at the park, and spent more time with the coward John Walters, and a man named Chris. We sat talking around the campfire until almost 3;00am. I got back to my room about 4:00, and wouldn't awake until almost check out time the following morning. It had been another long day, and I looked forward to attending the last day of the conference.

The main part of the event was over. My plans after that weekend, were to visit some "friends", to do a little camping in the "UP" of Michigan, and to come back home in about 6 weeks (just as I had promised James Lloyd).

Unbeknownst to me at the time, it would be almost a year and a half before I would go home again, because of the interference Ralph and Kathy Haaff.

There is much more to tell about the events of the conference, which will be told as their significance to the story becomes evident.
