Rick Walters and Christian Media: A Perfect Match

After the “Y2K” non event, Walters' “show” took a different direction. Now he spends his live hour on the radio, either reading the words of others (and regularly mangling them) which he has gotten from the internet, or making personal attacks on individuals deemed unworthy of common Christian consideration (usually with the help of a cohort). He often reads bible passages on the air, though he does so as with all his other exhibitions of public reading, without understanding.

He has a webpage, but his website, like his "show", contains no information. Instead it contains links to others who do have something to say.

One link on his website carries the caption "Planet X 2003" (on the supposition that Earth would be devastated by a rogue planet in that year). The link when followed, brings you to the Zeta Talk New Age site, which attacks the Bible, the position of Jesus Christ as Messiah, and promotes abortion (among other things).

It does however, support the Occult Doctrine of Planet X, which both Rick Walters, and James Lloyd, stand by.

Walters has been openly critical of others with so much as a tenuous association with 501 (c)(3) ministries such as "Voice of the Martyrs", and yet he sees no problem with linking to a site of an organization who is headed by a woman (Nancy Lieder), who channels spirits form "Zeta Reticuli".

He knows of the association, but refuses to change his webpage because the "Zeta's" have what he calls "good information". So he is in effect, In league with a Zetan

Rick Walters fancies himself to be a "Survivalist". The sad fact is that he only survives by leeching off of others.

Indeed his "survival skills" are so poor that when he went with a friend (whom he has since dismissed as "reperbait") to do some target shooting, Walters tried to load his own Ruger 22 caliber semi-automatic pistol (with which he should have been familiar) by putting the bullets into the magazine backwards!

His friend later offered Rick the opportunity to shoot a 50 caliber rifle, but Rick was scared of it, saying "I'm not gonna shoot that elephant gun". It is clear that his mouth is bigger than his "guts". His stupidity is the stuff of legends.

On March, 4, 2004, "Dr. Walters", along with one of his biggest supporters Jim Spargur, gave nutritional andKeep out of mouth! medical advice which was unusually bad (even for Walters), advising the listeners to "eat a book of matches each day" during the Tribulation (to keep away the mosquitoes), and if you are wounded by a gunshot to "put a tampon" in the bullet wound.

I suppose there might be some wisdom in the first part of that advice if we could only be certain that mosquitoes avoid biting very stupid people, but I wonder if Walters has ever heard of toxic shock syndrome from the use (or misuse) of tampons.

Medical sources all seem to agree that simply stuffing a tampon into a bullet wound will lead to infection, which will lead to death.

Do Not under any circumstances follow Rick Walters medical advice!

(We DID mention that he was stupid didn't we?)

Militia leader and patriot Mark Koernke (who has been vilified by the same people who now want to start their own "patriot" network), has in the past suggested that you keep sanitary napkins to dress wounds, but perhaps Walters cannot distinguish between the two.

To understand just exactly what Walters is "trying to say", lets us for a moment examine matches a little more closely.

Match History

In 1826 Samuel Jones patented the invention. Mr. Jones produced matches he named Lucifers, which produced phenomenal sales.

Match Definition
A match consists of three basic parts: a head, which initiates combustion via various materials like
phosphorousDo not eat! (which is toxic); a tinder substance to pick up and burn the flame, usually a piece of wood or cardboard; and a handle, often the same as the tinder.

The following is what the Diamond Match Company describes as their "recipe" for matches.

" Binder - glue made from recycled materials binds the match head together and holds it to the stick.

Fuel - the main fuel is sulfur, although other ingredients do burn.

Oxidizer - potassium chlorate provides oxygen to make the match burn strongly under many conditions.

Dilutants - these modify the burning rate so that the oxidizer and fuel do not react too violently. They also give the head added bulk. We use items like starch and finely ground sand. "

You can read about the toxic effects of potassium chlorate and phosphorous by clicking on the links provided.

You don't have to take my word for it, but just for the record I will advise you without any exculpatory:

DON'T EAT MATCHES!

Keep in mind, this medical and nutritional advice comes from the same network which advises you to avoid eating canola oil, pork products, and soda pop.

I do not doubt that these items are either toxic or bad for your health, but advising people to eat matches seems to be more than just a little stupid, and yet you are asked to trust their advice uncritically if you are part of their "flock".  Question any of them about their statements or positions and you will be "cast off" as "coming against" them and told to "get out of the (Christian Media®) boat".

One might wonder why Mr. Walters cast off his longtime friends and associates Greg and Debbie Jones as well as David “Worldwide” Wilson, who are local to the Madison, Indiana area until you consider the fact that, these individuals know Rick very well, and have the ability to speak with individuals around town, that have had dealings with Walters.

Many of those dealings have not been above board as we shall see. The “Watchman” has  gone to great lengths to prove his lack of biblical understanding in the way he lives.

"The Axe One Eight Show"

He was just "axe-ing"One example involved an incident where Walters threatened David Wilson while Dave was jogging in the area in March of 2003. After making several passes in his vehicle, Walters emerged wielding an axe handle, swinging it at the unarmed man and screaming vulgarities.

Later that year, David had occasion to see Walters at the local Wal-mart store and confronted Walters about his behavior.

Walters who likes to say on the air that he is an "Anointed Watchman of God" who will "git in your face" proved that he will only do that when there are no witnesses. He also threatened to complain to "management", showing that he is not only a liar and a thug, but a coward as well.

Take a good look

You cannot get away with too much in such a small town such as Madison Indiana, because most everyone knows each other, and their business, since everyone has lived there for years and remembers everything you have ever done, both good and bad, and most locals see little difference between the “Old” Rick Walters, and the “New man” he has supposedly “put on” in Christ.

In fact, it seems to those that know him, that the only thing he has “put on”, is an act.

Walters like his associates at the Christian Media Cult, is a very different individual in person than he presents himself to be on the radio. An audio clip which was recorded in the store illustrates this.

You can hear the recorded confrontation by clicking on this link, but be advised it contains profanity which  may offend some. There are more recordings of Walters in my possession, but I am uncomfortable about placing them on this website because some of Walters' language makes the corrupt speech on this audio file seem tame.

Matthew 15:16-18

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man

Rationalizing such unscriptural behavior, then lying to cover his culpability, seems to be a hallmark of the “Watchman” of Madison, Indiana. He has shown his true nature not only in his dealings with other people, but practices animal cruelty at home giving his pet rooster "Elmer" what he calls "the treatment".

Many times he has said on air that he was going to give "Elmer the treatment" after the "show" and laughing. Some day. God will give Rick "the treatment" as Rick has done to others.

In the past, Walters has also made it known that he forages in garbage bins outside of local grocery stores for discarded food, which he calls "dumpster diving", and has led others to believe that he is in such a state of poverty as to eat from trash cans.

He would regularly go on the air and tell his listeners how much food is being "wasted" that could be put to good use feeding the poor, and that he wasn't too proud to "dive in" and take it. Many have been moved by compassion to donate money to him because of this ruse.

I myself, not only bought him a telephone calling card to help him, but actually told the listeners to send any money they thought to donate to the Beacon of Truth broadcast to him, in the belief that he was in such a sad state when I had enough to eat.

After talking to those formerly associated with him, I discovered that the food he took from dumpsters, was actually going to feed Elmer, his rooster. When it comes to manipulating others, Rick Walters has no sense of shame. To lead others to believe that he is destitute and eating out of the trash, when he has not only enough to eat, but lives rent free on his mothers property is unconscionable.

There is also the desire to begin a “Christian Commune” on the land his mother purchased at Rick’s insistence. He has told many associates that he wants to start a commune, like his longtime idol R G Stair.

Indeed, at the time of the first Clifty Falls Conference, held in September of 2001, He encouraged a young woman by the name of Beth, to come to the “farm” to live with him. He reportedly told Beth that she needed to come down to the farm, even though she had a 6 month old baby girl.

Apparently once she had arrived at the "farm", Rick decided that Beth’s appearance wasn’t up to the standards to which he had become accustomed, (it is well know around town that Rick always had women around him, and always the finest looking girls he could find. He often “dumped” his girlfriends when another, prettier girl came along. This practice is known among womanizers as “trading up”, or “better dealing”).

What makes this episode most appalling is the fact that, after he had encouraged Beth in the strongest way to relocate to his property in Du Pont Indiana , is that when she appeared and did not find favor with Rick (cosmetically speaking), he refused to allow her to so much as take a bath, and if it had not been for the kindness of Walters' mother, the baby would not have had so much as a shred of food to eat.

The callous disregard he had for this woman and her baby, whom he had promised a place to stay, was evident when he forced them to sleep outside in her car in 40 degree weather.

He also encouraged another woman to relocate to Madison .

The next year, a woman named Mary Jo, who was another longtime supporter of Rick Walters, was likewise encouraged, some might say conned, into leaving her family, and moving to the area to “help” him in his ministry. Mary Jo (like Beth before her) was told how he "really felt comfortable" talking to her, and she enjoyed the attention he seemed to pay to her.

He seemed to be such a "nice guy", and even though she had no romantic intentions with regards to their relationship, she was moved by compassion to help this man who's designs were not revealed aforetime.

Initially she was hesitant to relocate because of the fact that she had two girls which she would have to leave behind in Michigan.  She also told him that she needed time to put some of her personal affairs in order and would be able to join him some time towards the end of the month of May.

He became very insistent that she join him that month (March of 2002) because “they might close down the highways, and raise checkpoints” intimating that if she didn’t leave immediately, she might be left behind to die in a prison camp along with her family.

Manipulating the fears of believers to achieve selfish ends is a common tactic employed by the "leaders" of the Christian Media® "family". Rick has used this scenario many times to manipulate others (mostly women) into donating money, equipment and other items he covets for his purposes.

She left her home in Lansing, Michigan that week however, things seemed to go awry from the start.

The 4 door GMC 4X4 extra-cab vehicle she had, had broken down along the way. She called and asked for assistance, and Rick asked his friends Greg and Debbie Jones to take him to a "Meijer" store parking lot where she was stranded. Once they met in the parking lot in Michigan however, Mr. Walters was not as friendly as he had been towards her in person as he had been on the telephone.

One factor in his cool reception to her may have been related to the fact that he soon discovered that the vehicle that she had, would not be placed at his disposal because as it turns out, she had "blown" the motor, and given her emotional state, which Walters had precipitated by selling her on the notion that "it's comin' down soon" (meaning the "Great Tribulation"), she had made the decision to abandon it.

To make matters worse, Mary Jo had recently bought a set of new tires for the vehicle she would now leave behind. Since the Jones' vehicle had the identical "lug pattern", it was suggested that they should swap those tires for the tires on the Jones' vehicle, which were nearly bald.

Not only did Rick Walters refuse to help Greg Jones (who has intermittent back problems) switch tires in the 10 degree cold, but he also refused to help transfer any of Mary Jo's belongings to Greg and Debbie's car, stating that he was "cold".

Although Mary Jo had it in her heart to help Rick with his “ministry” without any other personal involvement between them, it seems as though he had other ideas for her of a more romantic nature. After meeting in person however, something about her was not to his liking and he began to rudely ignore her.

Though it seems he had abandoned any romantic thoughts he may have entertained, he did however covet her property (meager though it was).

She had recently bought a small, portable CD player. When Rick saw it, he began to complain that "there are people..." (one of his favorite phrases) "...who have things they don't need..." and looked disapprovingly at her CD player. He began talking about all the material things people have today that will bring  God's judgment during the tribulation.

He began to tell her of his financial woes, and how he would probably have to go to the bank and ask for money (he had given her the impression that he would have to get a bank loan). The ministry was too important to be allowed to "go off the air", and that he was a "Watchman" who had to warn America while he still had time.

Beginning to feel guilty (and not yet realizing that Rick is a con man), Mary Jo gave him the CD player (and the sales receipt), which he took back to Wal-mart, pocketing the refund. What was probably worse than that was the fact that he even took her sandwich bag full of change, which was all the money she had at that moment.

While she was living there (the Jones' were kind enough to offer their home to her), she would give Walters a good portion of her meager disability check to help "get the message out". All in all, he used her in a most pathetic way, and then cast her off when he could use her no more.

Another woman “Slick Rickey” has used to his advantage is a local woman named Clair Shipman (mentioned in the previous chapter). She has given financial support to Rick for many years and he has often been seen going to her store in Madison, Indiana, whenever he need some “extra” money, using the same tactic he used against Mary Jo, and plying her with promises of sanctuary at his farm, avoiding the “Merican Guvment Agents” who will track her down and denude her of her wealth, when they start “kickin in doors” and people awake to “Jackboot reality”.

He has also been “working” another woman in North Carolina who works at a Lowe’s Distribution Center, with whom he had worked years ago before retiring to the “ministry”.  He has reportedly bragged of the amounts of money she has “given” him over the course of the last four years. He has also promised her “refuge” when the “$#!T hits the fan”.

There is yet another woman whom Rick has manipulated into selling her gold certificates to “donate” to his ministry.

As this piece was being written (in November of 2002), my sources told me that Rick is yet again working to con another sister, Bobbi J , into moving from Minnesota to Madison, Indiana where she will be offered a place to live and “Christian Companionship” until she either fails to make the grade, or until a “better deal” presents itself.

Bobbi has received especially shabby treatment at the hands of Christian Media®. In 2001, she was asked several times to give witness against James Lloyd's ex-best friend Steve Quayle, for whom she had worked in the past.

After doing so reluctantly, her testimony was brushed aside when Lloyd came to terms with Quayle, selling him airtime once again on Christian Media Network®, making her appear to be a liar. She was given her own show on the network (perhaps to ease the sense of betrayal) but it ended a few months later.

It seems as though, having a non licensed “ministry’ is a perfect “set up” for a man wishing to con women out of thousands of dollars, as there is no record kept, nor expected by the victims.

Truly, if you count all the unlicensed “Ministers” working the ignorant sheep, this is the biggest religious scam on record. Aside from the financial rewards of his manipulations, Rick Walters seems to enjoy the notoriety he has gained from his “show”, and the control he has been able to exercise over the willing but unsophisticated believers.

There is one thing Rick Walters and I agree upon, the fact that the “Acts 1:8” broadcast is nothing more than a "show".

There are many other example which could be cited which illustrate Walters' lack of good character and hypocrisy, but these go a long way in explaining the personal motivations for his involvement in the attacks upon me and the campaign of slander against others, which was prosecuted and given refuge by others of similar avaricious, prideful lusts, at Christian Media Network®.

Some may have not known me personally, but others such as James Lloyd did so without excuse.

As long as there are people willing to give them aid and comfort, allowing them to feed their insatiable lust for money, they will continue to leech off of others as parasites always do.

Those who refuse to look beyond the facade and recognize these people for who they really are, will have no defense in the day when all accounts are settled in the end of days.

God will hold them all to account in His good time.

I hope that you are not among their victims, and even more so that you are not culpable through financial and personal support.

All told, it would be better to eat matches than to swallow the poison spirit of the Self Anointed Watchman.

We will see more of Rick Walters in upcoming chapters of this report.
