witness of certain facts regarding the fruit of the spirit
concerning those involved in the many campaigns of slander begun by
Christian Media, and admonitions against the same. Italics are

Hello Craig,
It was good to hear from you and I was sorry to hear about your
problems with Christian Media. I am not surprised that
Christian Media is critical of us. I spoke at the first Clifty
Falls conference and immediately afterwards we began to hear that
things were being said about us. Severe controversy and strife
broke out between other people that attended the conference
supposedly over attacks that CM had made upon people that the others
had liked. I did not try to get into the middle of it or
attempt to sort it out or to respond to things that were being said
about us.
There is very little that we would disagree with in the doctrinal
positions that CM has taken, but it appears that with some we
have been put on their Black list. We have spoken out against
the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine for over 20 years, but I have
never blanketly condemned people to hell for holding those doctrines
even though I believe them to be a serious deception. We have
spoken out and written against and exposing Freemasonry for over 15
years and we believe that churches that accept Freemasons as members
have become leavened with apostasy because of 1 Cor. 5:11-13
(1 Cor 5:11-13 KJV) But now I have written unto you not to keep
company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or
covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an
extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. {12} For what have I to
do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that
are within? {13} But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore
put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Freemasonry is idolatry at every level. I thoroughly believe that
we are living in the last days and that organized religion has
become thoroughly corrupt. I would certainly agree that most
churches who are 501 (c)3 are apostate, and that denominations have
become a reproach to God. I do not believe that all 501 (c)
3 churches are apostate though the ones that are not are certainly
few and far between.
Jesus was very specific and mentioned five leavens that would make a
church a part of the whore church in stead of the Bride. I try to
be very specific and do not seek to engage in blanket condemnations
because I realize that slander is also a sin and that I will have
to stand before God with what we say.
We have been a non-profit organization in that state of Indiana
since 1984 and we work with other para-church ministries that are
501 (c) 3 to combat the issue of Freemasonry and idolatry in the
church and we will continue to do so as long as we are able. I
have specifically explained our position to Rick Walters who for a
while spoke well of our ministry. I have enjoyed the teaching
of James Lloyd and I believe tht God has given him some tremendous
insight into prophesy in many areas.
I cannot go as far as CM does in blankedly condemning all 501(c)3
ministries and I would disagree with their teaching on Israel which
seems to me to be a twist on raplacement theology. I would not
consider those differences a hinderance to fellowship or ministry,
but I get the feeling sometimes when I listen to CM that to
disagree with them on almost any point is to put yourself on their
list. You would know better than me having been on the
inside!
God has given us a bold and strong ministry, but I pray that I will
not chop someone off at the knees who would not agree with all that
views I hold. The beliefs that I hold today have not always been
the same in my entire Christian life and I do not believe that it
made me any less saved. We received negative information about you
from CM in the newsletter over the internet, but we don't jump on
those bandwagons especially knowing first hand the seemingly
constant barrage of personal attacks that CM is involved in.

answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto
him.

It seems as though David Carrico has now
changed his tune. We can only imagine that he has succumbed to
pressure from James Lloyd to ensure that his Christian Media Network
Broadcast is secure. The question lingers as to whether what he
stated in his previous e mail was false or true. Does the truth

Sowing Seeds of Discord
among the hosts of Christian Media Network
(Prov 6:16-19 KJV)
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination
unto him: {17} A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed
innocent blood, {18} An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief, {19} A false witness that
speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
(1 Tim 5:20 KJV) Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also
may fear.
It is with much distaste and with deep regret that we must publicly
rebuke Craig Portwood of the BEACON OF TRUTH ministry, and deal with
this issue. The public misrepresentation of our correspondence by
Mr. Portwood has forced us to do so. We are truly sad that this
matter cannot be privately and personally resolved with Mr.
Portwood, but our concern with further misrepresentation of our
e-mail letters or other avenues of communication prevent us from
doing so at this time.
Craig recently posted a November 4, 2002 personal e-mail letter
minus the date he received it from us on his BEACON OF TRUTH web
site. We became hosts on the Christian Media Network on January 7,
2003. In a deceptive fashion, our e-mail letter was presented
by Craig as an attack from us on the Christian Media Network by a
current Christian Media Network host. Our personal
e-mail to Mr. Portwood was a response to the content of previous
e-mails to us from Craig. This was obviously a calculated attempt
to sow discord among the many hosts of Christian Media Network,
such as Rick Walters and others, and advance the personal grievances
of Craig Portwood against Christian Media Network and its hosts.
It is our desire and God's heart that all brethren walk in love and
unity, however, true Biblical unity always comes at the price of
repentance and humility. Our sincere prayer in regard to all
concerned is that the situation will change and result in God being
glorified. Our continual prayer is for God's speed and greatest
blessings upon Christian Media Network and James Lloyd along with
Rick Walters.
(1 Pet 3:8-12 KJV) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having
compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be
courteous: {9} Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:
but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called,
that ye should inherit a blessing. {10} For he that will love life,
and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his
lips that they speak no guile: {11} Let him eschew evil, and do
good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. {12} For the eyes of the

This was
clearly written by James Lloyd as anyone familiar with his "style"
of writing can attest. That David Carrico placed his name on it
shows that he is more interested in currying favor with "The Lloyd"
than with The Lord. Shame on him. |

Here is my email
response which has yet been unanswered. It will most likely not be
answered until David stands before Jesus Christ on Judgment Day.

David,
You have made several comments on your website which
are unsupported by anything evidentiary.
Unlike those with whom you have chosen to associate (James Lloyd,
Rick Walters et. al.), I will give you an opportunity to make a full
account of your assertions, and publish them. If I am at fault, I
will likewise make a full accounting, and publicly apologize.
First, you
mention that I have made a "public misrepresentation " of your e
mail to me. You do (one may safely assume) admit to authorship. My
question in this instance is this: upon what do you base this
accusation? In what manner have I misrepresented your communication?
Secondly, upon what set of circumstances do you base
your statement " We
are truly sad that this matter cannot be privately and personally
resolved with Mr. Portwood"? What if any efforts have you made to
that end? To my knowledge you have made none. Please correct me if I
am in error on this point. Perhaps the remainder of that statement
is meant to justify your lack of such effort: "but our concern with
further misrepresentation of our e-mail letters or other avenues of
communication prevent us from doing so at this time." What do you
fear sir? Surely as a "man of God" you are not afraid to testify
truthfully. In what way could I "misrepresent" a communication
published verbatim? This appears on it's face to be pure canard, to
justify avoidance of any straight forward recitation of the facts.
If I am unfair in this assessment I will recant upon any honest
presentation of events to the contrary. If however I am correct,
your statement is out of character for a man of God.
If your assertion of misrepresentation on my part is
relative to the omission to the
November 4, 2002 date of my e
mail to you, I assure you the omission was unavoidable, as I had to
rely on a third party to whom I had forwarded your communication, to
return it to me, as I had deleted it from my files. It returned
without the original date.
This does raise another question, which is central
to the issue at hand. The question is whether you are now recant
your previous testimony. Are you of another opinion as regards your
statement " but

and if so, does it have to do with the fact that you are now a host
on the Christian Media network?
Does the truth change depending upon personal
association? Has what was true on November 4, 2002 changed on

7, 2003? If so, what has changed
except your association with James Lloyd?

testimony (remember you will answer to God) that this statement was
authored by you and not dictated by James Lloyd? If you claim
authorship, was it then "an attack" on James Lloyd or Christian
Media, in November, or was it true representation of your
perception?
You also made the
statement: "Our sincere prayer in regard to all concerned is that
the situation will change and result in God being glorified." In
what way do you pray the situation will change? What short of ALL
those involved repenting of their poor behavior, could possibly
change this situation?
Have you also repudiated your 501 (c)(3)
associations?
Sir, I have been lied about, reviled and accused
falsely by your chosen associates at Christian Media. While I have
made several attempts to set the record straight and humbly and
gently reprove those involved, there was no such behavior on the
part of Rick Walters, Ralph and Kathy Haaff, or James Lloyd. I
quietly sat by while I was maliciously and repeatedly slandered by
your associates. They have stalked my home, slandered me behind my
back, enlisted the aid of sworn enemies of Christ, attacked an
innocent child. Do you remember this scripture from the gospel of
Luke, Chapter 17, verses 1 1 and 2: "Then said he unto the
disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe
[unto him], through whom they come! It were better for him that a
millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than
that he should offend one of these little ones." ?
In one case, Rick Walters assaulted a supporter of
the Beacon of Truth broadcast with an axe handle (that case is still
under investigation by the Jefferson County Prosecutors office).
While I have sought restitution in prayer and supplication to God,
those named above have fought in the flesh. Unlike my accusers, I
have documentation instead of unnamed individuals, and direct quotes
instead of statements taken out of context for my assertions.

The sower of discord in this matter is Rick Walters,
along with the Haaffs, who have likewise spoken lies, swiftly
running to mischief.
I have been called by the man Rick Walters
"potbellied Portwood" "Pothead Portwood" (do I sound like a drug
addict to you?), they have made fun of my personal appearance in an
adolescent fashion (to their detriment) and accused me of adultery.
I have been maligned regularly on the international shortwave radio
bands, in a mass distributed e mail, and on the internet (which you
have also chosen to promote). I had one lapse into the flesh in
making fun of Rick Walters obvious low I.Q. in an e mail sent to
him, for which I publicly and privately apologized. True to form, he
has refused to acknowledge it. Where is the adherence to the words
of Christ in that episode? Remember Luke 17:3-4: Take heed to
yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if
he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times
in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I
repent; thou shalt forgive him." No doubt he will state "Portwood
ain't my brother." This splitting of hairs will not go far before
our Lord. I suppose I can declare you a child of the Devil and trash
you by that standard. My Lord holds me to a higher level of
behavior.
For the sake of THE TRUTH I have published a
history of the dirty dealings of Christian Media, and have exposed
James Lloyd as the false prophet and hypocrite that he is. This I
have done after many months of unrequited abuse. You sir are not so
naive as to not recognize the commercial motivation of Christian
media. You may however, share that motive, I do not know. God does
know.
You have been willingly duped. You will share in the
fruit of your choices, either in this world, or in the one to come.
You had discerned rightly about Christian media when you mentioned
"the seemingly constant
barrage of personal attacks that CM is involved in." Now you
have seemingly become a partaker of their sin.
1st Timothy 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be
partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
You know the scriptures.
Luke 12:48 "But
he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be
beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him
shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him
they will ask the more."
I challenge you to answer the questions above,
although I doubt you have the integrity to do so. I hope you prove
me wrong. If I am wrong, I will apologize publicly and privately. It
seems as though you have cast off your integrity to sacrafice it
upon the unholy altar of self interest and expediency.
